Shipping Policy 

Dailey Delights cakes are shipped nationwide through UPS.  Cakes are frozen when shipped to ensure they arrive as fresh as if you picked them up from our kitchen. The cakes are individually hand-wrapped and placed in a signature tin. The tin is then packaged with dry ice in an insulated cooler and placed in a sturdy shipping box. 

General

Shipments are made within the continental United States and the District of Columbia. 

All packages shipped UPS are designated with a shippers release so a signature is not required for delivery.  However, it is the discretion of the UPS delivery person whether to leave the package. We recommend someone be available to accept the shipment, if possible.

We cannot be responsible for packages left at an address when someone is out-of-town. Please make every effort to notify the recipient so they will be home the day of delivery. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes, APO or FPO addresses.

Perishable Items

Due to the perishable nature of our cakes, they are shipped nationwide within one (1) or two (2) days via UPS.  Shipping charges are based on each cake that is shipped. Extra precautions are takes May through September to ensure your order arrives in good condition during the hottest months of the year. Higher shipping fees occur during these months - the good news is lower rates will be effective in time for fall and holiday shopping.

We only ship cakes on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to ensure deliveries do not travel over the weekend.  All orders placed by 12 pm EST Monday - Wednesday will be shipped that day.  Orders placed after 12 pm Wednesday will be shipped the following regular shipping day (usually Monday unless this is a major Holiday and UPS is closed). 

If you need a product delivered on a specific date, please refer to the chart below. We do not ship items over the weekend because of the perishable nature of the cakes. If you need a cake delivered on a specific date and are not sure when to identify your delivery date, please call us at 812-697-3803.

Arrival times on the day of arrival cannot be guaranteed by UPS. Most residential packages are delivered by 7pm, and business packages by 5pm. Businesses in homes are considered Residential. If you require morning delivery, you must contact us to place your order and higher service charges will apply.  Please notify the recipient to be available to receive the package as we cannot be responsible for items damaged while left unattended in warm weather.

Shipments are not made on the following days: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Years Eve and New Years Day as UPS is either closed or not picking up packages on these days. Packages will not be delivered on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Eve (ground only), and New Years Day. 

Address changes

Please contact us immediately if an incomplete or incorrect address was provided during your order process. Address labels can usually be changed before 12pm the day of shipment. It is difficult to modify addresses once the cake has left our kitchen so please notify us immediately when this is discovered. 

December Orders

Due to the tremendous volume of orders placed in December, we suggest ordering your holiday cakes as early as possible. In fact, you may place an order any time throughout the year for December delivery.

Due to the large amount of packages being delivered during the holidays, UPS cannot guarantee on-time delivery for UPS ground shipments from December 12th-December 24th. However, UPS can guarantee on-time deliveries for all 1 and 2 day air shipments during this time.
